Sunday Pickleball League – Spring Season '25 is designed for players who want competitive matchups at their skill level, more time on the court, and a great atmosphere to play in with friends and teammates. Each week, teams take on two different teams in back-to-back matchups, playing eight total games per team and four games per player—you’re getting more time on the court.
This is a 7-week season, featuring six weeks of matchups followed by a playoff round where every team competes for final standings. Limited to six teams per division.

Sunday Nights at Society Yards – April 13th to June 1st
The Sunday Pickleball League runs Sunday night from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with three skill-based divisions playing in dedicated time slots. Each division gets 90 minutes of match play, ensuring every team gets two matchups per night with 8 games per team and 4 games per player.
4:00 PM – 5:30 PM → Recreational Division (2.5-2.9 DUPR Comparable - No DUPR rating required)
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM → Intermediate Division (3.0-3.4 DUPR Comparable, Coach Verified for Unrated Players)
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM → Advanced Division (3.5-4.0 DUPR Verified or Coach Verified)

This division is for players who have moved beyond the beginner stage and are developing consistency, control, and basic strategy.Player Characteristics:
Forehand: Can maintain rallies of 3-5 shots at a medium pace with improving directional control.
Backhand: Beginning to use backhand shots but still working on consistency.
Serve/Return: Serves are becoming more consistent with some control over placement; returns are reliable but lack strong offensive intent.
Dinks: Understands the soft game and can sustain short dink rallies, though under pressure, control may break down.
Volleys: Can volley but may struggle with faster shots or adjusting to different speeds.
Strategy: Knows basic court positioning and the difference between offensive and defensive play but may not fully execute strategies effectively.
Ideal For:
Players looking to build a strong foundation, improve consistency, and gain match experience in a fun and supportive environment. -

This division is for players with solid pickleball fundamentals who are looking to refine their skills and play a more strategic, competitive game. If you don’t know your DUPR, this requires coach verified skill level.Player Characteristics:
Forehand/Backhand: Can consistently execute medium-paced shots with good directional control and is beginning to add spin.
Serve/Return: Serves are consistently deep with improved control; returns are purposeful, aiming to set up the next shot.
Dinks: Can sustain dink rallies and use them strategically to move opponents out of position.
Third Shot: Developing the ability to execute third-shot drops effectively and transition to the net.
Volleys: Comfortable at the net and can handle medium-paced volleys with control, though reaction speed is still improving.
Strategy: Recognizes the importance of shot selection, is beginning to identify opponents' weaknesses, and can adjust tactics during play.
Ideal For:
Players who want to compete at a balanced level, refine their strategies, and challenge themselves against similar skill levels. -

This division is for experienced players who are comfortable with fast-paced, strategic play and are looking for high-level competition.Player Characteristics:
Forehand/Backhand: Hits with depth, control, and confidence; comfortable using both forehand and backhand in offensive and defensive situations.
Serve/Return: Serves with variety in depth and spin; returns are aggressive, designed to gain an early advantage.
Dinks: Can sustain long dink rallies with patience and precision, using them as an offensive tool.
Third Shot: Consistently executes effective third-shot drops or drives, setting up strong net positioning.
Volleys: Can handle fast-paced exchanges and use volleys to pressure opponents and finish points.
Strategy: Anticipates opponents' shots, makes tactical decisions based on game flow, and communicates effectively with partners.
Ideal For:
Players who want high-level competition and to test their skills against top-tier opponents. This division requires a DUPR rating or coach verification to ensure a strong and competitive level of play.

Format
Weeks 1-6: Round-robin matchups, each team plays every other team twice.
Week 7: Playoffs, based on standings.
1st vs. 2nd for the Championship
3rd vs. 4th for Third Place
5th vs. 6th for the Final Matchup
Tiebreakers: If teams finish with the same record, point differential will determine seeding.
